CHEF Miltos Karoubas – CSF Ambassador for Greece

CSF (Chefs Sans Frontieres), a charity organization created in January 2022 by Chef Alan Coxon, has confirmed Chef Miltos Karoubas as the CSF Ambassador for Greece

CSF, known as “Chef Sans Frontieres”, was born with the purpose of raising funds to support small producers and farmers , who have lost their livelihoods and businesses caused by uncontrollable traumas and natural disasters.

The aim is to support, rebuild lives and businesses of local and regional artisanal food and beverage producers, preserving cultural gastronomy, culinary heritage and traditional skills for future generations to come.

100% of all funds raised goes towards helping those in need with nobody at CSF taking a salary or fee , whilst other supporting elements needed to run the charity are supported through sponsorship .

Every cent of funds raised will go towards the purchase of vital equipment, products, and livestock – such as new sheep and goat flocks for farmers, new beehives, bees and wildflower seeds for local honey producers, new olive groves for olive oil producers, small fishing boats – just to name a few that routinely suffer irreparable loss and damage from fires, floods, or other natural causes, many of which are exacerbated by global warming.

Chefs from around the world and leaders in the food industry, as well as the general public are coming together for this global initiative.

One of Alan Coxon’s major goals is to place 1 CSF representative in every country in the world to support and be ready to help when needed.

Everyone, without exception, is “called” to this mission of helping small producers who, through their activity, make a difference in our lifestyle, authenticity to menus, add a point of difference for tourism and visitors, whilst retaining culinary culture around the world. 

Alan Coxon believes that “if we lose our small producers, we lose our cultural culinary history, our point of difference, generations of traditions, and in effect the beating heart of a nation”.

Chef Miltos Karoubas was invited by the founder to join the organization, an invitation that, according to chef “is deeply aligned with his personal and professional values”. Making a difference on the ground, knowing the difficulties and being able to intervene whilst safeguarding our identity, preserving traditions and knowledge is not only an honor, but above all an invitation that makes me very happy to be able to contribute to causes in which I deeply believe.”
